Núria Negrão, PhD

As a trained scientist and leading AI Adoption Strategist, Dr. Negrão specializes in navigating the “last mile” of generative AI, focusing on how educators can maintain rigorous human accountability and address flawed algorithmic reasoning. Her frameworks are specifically tailored for high-stakes medical communication and continuing professional development, offering actionable ways to protect patient safety and clinical accuracy while scaling digital workflows. UTHSC master educators will walk away with practical strategies to treat AI as a rigorous thinking partner, safely shifting saved time back into high-impact teaching and curriculum design.

AME member and experienced practitioner who focuses on the translational application of moving students from the textbook to the high-pressure environment of the Intensive Care Unit and clinical rotations.

Leonard N. Lamsen, MD

An AME-member emergency physician specializing in cutting-edge healthcare simulation.

Tiffany Elliott, PhD, MSN, RN, CHSE

Workshop co-leader who brings over seven years of specialized experience as a nurse educator and Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator. She focuses on simulation-based learning and faculty development, with doctoral research exploring AI-driven simulation to advance health equity.

Michael Hocker, MD, MHS As ER physician and leader, Dean Hocker brings high-level executive insight into institutional strategy, IPE, and curriculum scaling. Concluding the session, he will deliver the Executive Summary on the administrative and structural strategies required to scale these adaptive debriefing models across Pharmacy, Nursing, and Medicine colleges.
